History shows the situation in the Middle East is a dangerous escalation that could lead to an all-out war.

The dangerous situation is a small and weak third-rate power (Israel) in close alliance with a superpower (the United States). Such alliances are dangerous because the small power is in the driver’s seat.

Israeli leaders can do whatever they want because they know the US federal government always has their back. Hence, Israeli politicians think the US cavalry will always ride to their rescue.

How US Politicians Enable Israeli Crimes

This is why Prime Minister Israeli Benjamin Netanyahu can order all manner of atrocities in Gaza, promote mob violence against Palestinians, and order his military to attack Iranian embassies and Iran itself. Bibi knows that Uncle Sam will come to his defense.

US, British, Israeli, Jordanian, and other forces shot down 99% of the drones and missiles the Iranian military fired at Israel, the Associated Press claims. The Intercept claims US forces shot down the bulk of the drones.
