Suddenly Humphrey announced, “Excuse me, Colonel, but I have an incoming message from Major Chamkanni.”
“Let’s hear it,” McGreevy said.
“Colonel,” Chamkanni’s voice said. “We have a problem. I just arrived at Bergstrom’s clinic and he’s dead. Somebody pumped a full clip of incendiary darts into him. They burned his body to a crisp.”
“It looks like somebody else shares your suspicions, Colonel,” Themis said.
“They moved faster than I thought,” McGreevy said.
