Good point, Bernie Sanders, Liz Warren, and Andrew Yang are already doing that by refusing to talk about cultural issues. If the trend continues, Republicans will have to start discussing economic issues which will be their green Kryptonite — IE it will kill them. People with dead-jobs and no money don’t want to hear about transexual toilet use, gay marriage, and abortion. Culturism has been around for a long-time, but you’re right the 1960s New Left and 1970s New Right created the present version. Bizarrely, the American Right has adopted most of the methods of the New Left because it serves their economic interests.
