How the Woke Wars Threaten Human Rights — Market Mad House

On the surface, the Woke Wars appear to be a standard left/right ideological skirmish with one side trying to silence those whom it finds distasteful. When you examine it through the lens of human rights; however, the Woke Wars appear far more sinister and dangerous.

To explain, the Woke Wars are the conflict between some artists; mostly stand-up comedians, and the self-appointed left-wing arbiters of morality trying to censor them. The Woke Wars erupted a few years back when college campuses and other venues began censoring comedy acts.

Essentially, the Woke Warriors try to force all artists to adhere to contemporary standards of political correctness on issues such as gender, race, and sexual orientation. Comedians often run afoul of the Woke Censors when they mention race or gender in jokes.

Most people dismiss the Woke Wars as another meaningless ideological squabble over political correctness. Unfortunately, the Woke Warriors are crossing over into the dangerous territory of violating human rights.
