I agree like Trump, and Joe Biden, Sanders seems to want to take America back to the 1950s or the 1990s. The similarity between 1980 and 2020 is interesting. In both cases there is a unpopular populist president who is viewed as an incompetent buffoon by much of the population. The Reagan similarity is that in 1976 Reagan lost the primary. He came back and won in 1980 and beat the moderate alternative pushed by the Party establishment George H. W. Bush, who quickly sold out for the Vice Presidency. I suppose Bernie could do the same.
