I disagree the hatred of Trump is a complex phenomenon. Other presidents like Bill Clinton, Woodrow Wilson, LBJ,and Richard Nixon were not nice persons but they did not generate the level of visceral hatred Trump does. I think many are making Trump a scapegoat for changes in the larger political culture they do not like. When Trump is gone they will find a new scapegoat, possibly Bernie.
