Maybe 1964 I perceive Sanders as more Barry Goldwater than Reagan. It was Goldwater who showed there was a large and discontented conservative movement out there. It was Reagan who took it mainstream. Notably, Sanders is a lot like Goldwater, grumpy Jewish guys with glasses who became political icons. I think you’re onto something. The left needs a Reagan now where is he or she?
