The United States Supreme Court could make history again in its October 2022 term. This will be historic because the Supreme Court delivered three blockbuster decisions in its last term.

In particular, the Supremes overturned the historic Roe v. Wade precedent in the controversial in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Dobbs is controversial because it allows state governments to ban abortion.

Moreover, in Carson v. Makin, the Supreme Court approved the use of tax money to support religious schools. Additionally, the US Supreme Court gave US citizens the right to carry guns outside their homes in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen.

That decision has prompted lower court judges nationwide to strike down gun control laws, Roll Call reports. New York State Rifle struck down America’s most famous gun control law, the Sullivan Act, which many governments copied.

Having three blockbuster decisions in a US Supreme Court term is rare. Yet it could happen again this fall.
